Oppo Neo 5s

Oppo has been ever active in the mobile industry with its range of smartphones catering to the high end and midrange market segments respectively. The company has now inadvertently revealed the imminent arrival of a new midranger known as the Neo 5s.

The handset is revealed to be packing a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480x854, which tells us that it won't be a beast in terms of internal hardware. There's the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor running by default, combined by 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and 4G LTE connectivity.

In the camera department, the Neo 5s comes with an 8MP primary sensor and a 5MP front facing camera for video calls and selfies.

Since the handset was revealed by the company's official site, it's almost a given that the smartphone will go official eventually. The device is said to be sporting a paltry 2,000 mAh battery and running Android 4.4.2 out of the box, which is mildly disappointing for a new handset.

It is said that the handset will be unveiled in white and black color variants during the time of launch. With a weight of 135 grams and thickness of just 8mm, Oppo has ensured that the Neo 5s will not be uncomfortable to hold.

We consider this to be a silent launch of the smartphone as it's been listed in detail on the company website. So expect Oppo to give away availability related details over the coming days. We expect the handset to be priced under Rs. 7,000 considering the hardware on offer.
